This research aims to identify the customer perception of selected Cafe
restaurants in Molino Iii, Bacoor City. Customer’s assumptions about their preferred
shop are very important because they could affect their loyalty towards the shop as
well as its survival in the market. This paper surveys the customers’ perception of
selected cafe restaurants in Molino III, using a structured questionnaire. There are two
sections of this study: Section A involves the demographic information, while Section
B focuses on independent variables. A total of 100 self-administered survey
questionnaires were distributed to tie the present study and the same amount was
expected to be collected back. There are two independent variables (Exterior and
Interior Design) with each sub-topic included in the questionnaire to determine the
customer’s perception towards the cafe restaurant: (i) location, (ii) entrance design (iii)
accessibility, (iv) lighting, (v)music and (vi) cleanliness. Furthermore, in the statistical
treatment of data, percentage, weighted mean, Likert scale, and Chi-square test were
used to analyze the data needed for the present study. Additionally, the study consists
of three research objectives, which are to determine the demographic profile of
respondents, to determine the impacts of store atmosphere on customer perception in
terms of exterior and interior design, and to identify the significant relationship between
the impact of store atmosphere on customer perception. The predicted outcome from
the study result shows that all the variables have an impact on customer satisfaction
as it defines how the shop manages to satisfy its customers based on the variables.
However, the current study only focuses on customers of Selected Cafe Restaurants
in Molino III, Bacoor City, Cavite. As such, future research can develop a larger sample
size to enhance the accuracy and reliability. There are only several past studies that
identify the customer’s perception in coffee shops.
