This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of barangay tanod in maintaining
peace and order in Brgy. Molino II, Bacoor City, Cavite. Maintaining peace and order is
crucial for the welfare of a community because it protects its citizens' safety and security.
barangay tanod, who are community volunteers entrusted with grassroots peace and order
maintenance, are essential to accomplishing this goal. Through quantitative research,
including surveys and the data that was collected to assess the performance of barangay
tanod in addressing various forms of disturbances, preventing criminal activities, and
fostering a sense of security among residents. Findings reveal the strengths and weaknesses
of barangay tanod operations, pointing out elements that affect their efficacy include
equipment, community support, training, and cooperation with law enforcement.
Recommendations are to provide program that enhance the capabilities and effectiveness
of barangay tanod in fulfilling their mandate, ultimately helping to maintain general peace
and order in Brgy. Molino II and acting as a role model for similar communities around
the country.
