Abstract
This study was conducted to determine the level of compliance on disaster risk reduction management of Barangay Zapote V; the degree of seriousness of problems encountered in complying with the disaster risk reduction and management preparedness in Barangay Zapote V, City of Bacoor, Cavite.
According to the Likert Scale used in the determination to Level of Compliance on Disaster Risk Reduction Management of Barangay Zapote V, it was divided into Three (3) indicators: Research and Planning, Administrative and training and Operations and warning. First, Research and Planning of the Barangay got a weighted mean of 2.15 that is “fairly complied” it was interpreted as the Barangay Zapote V fails to comply with the standard set by RA 10121 in terms of research and planning as perceived by the respondents of this study. Second, Administration and training of the Barangay is got a weighted mean of 2.18 which is also equivalent to “fairly complied” it implies that the Barangay Zapote V, fails to do necessary action and training needed to comply with the standard set by the NDRRMC and RA 10121 to help lessen the impact of disaster that may occur in the Barangay. Third, Operations and warnings got a weighted mean of 2.23 it was interpreted as “fairly complied” which indicates that the Barangay fails to inform and to give warning to the community about the adverse effect of the disaster that may occur in the barangay, it also indicates that the Barangay is lacking of effort to have necessary partnership with the private sector to lessen the impact of the disaster in the Barangay.
According to the Liker Scale used in the determination to Degree of seriousness of Problems encountered in complying with the disaster risk reduction and management preparedness in Barangay Zapote V, it was also divided into Three (3) Indicators; Research and planning, Administration and training and Operations and warnings. First, Research got the weighted mean of 3.46, it was interpreted as “very serious” It implies that the problem encountered by Barangay Zapote V affects the implementation of the program. Second, Administration and training of the Barangay id got a weighted mean of 3.33 with a verbal interpretation of “serious” it indicated that there is serious problem that the Barangay need to be resolve and it also focus the way they administering the disaster risk reduction management and the way they will be conducting trainings for the disaster situation. Third, Operations and warnings got a weighted mean of 3.42 that is “very serious” which indicates that the Barangay having a problem in terms on how they will be informing the public and give warnings to public, and how they will be able to develop partnership to the private sectors to strengthen and to help lessen the impact of the disaster that may happen on the futur 
Description
This undergraduate thesis assessed the level of compliance of Barangay Zapote V, City of Bacoor, with disaster risk reduction management (DRRM) standards, as well as the seriousness of problems encountered in complying with DRRM preparedness measures. Using a Likert scale, the study evaluated three key indicators: research and planning (weighted mean = 2.15, “fairly complied”), administration and training (weighted mean = 2.18, “fairly complied”), and operations and warning (weighted mean = 2.23, “fairly complied”). Findings indicated that Barangay Zapote V fell short of compliance with RA 10121 standards across these areas. The study also identified the degree of seriousness of problems, with research and planning (weighted mean = 3.46, “very serious”), administration and training (weighted mean = 3.33, “serious”), and operations and warning (weighted mean = 3.42, “very serious”), highlighting significant challenges in implementing effective DRRM.
