For the growth of sustainable tourism and environmental preservation and
conservation, effective solid waste management is essential. In order to identify gaps
and make recommendations for improvement, this study determine the solid waste
management procedures used by Non- Department of Tourism (DOT)
accredited resorts in Bacoor, Cavite.

The data was collected from the employees of the Non-DOT accredited
resorts in Bacoor City, Cavite through series of questions to obtain results. The
researchers requested a list of resorts within Bacoor Cavite from the Bacoor
Government Center, and from those list, researchers took eight (8) resorts without
DOT accreditation. The researchers visited the resorts and asks the employees to
answer survey questions that would help the researchers in their study.
The study revealed that Non-DOT Accredited Resorts in Bacoor, Cavite
demonstrate a high degree of employee assessment of resort solid waste
management practices in terms of properly handling different solid waste types, and
disposal practices. 

This undergraduate thesis investigates the solid waste management practices of non-DOT-accredited resorts in Bacoor, Cavite. Data were collected from resort employees through surveys, focusing on handling and disposal of various solid waste types. The findings reveal that employees in these resorts exhibit a high degree of awareness and proper implementation of waste management practices, highlighting the importance of sustainable tourism and environmental conservation. Recommendations for improvement are suggested to enhance local waste management systems and support sustainable development in the hospitality sector.
