Abstract
SALVADOR, PRINCESS L. Development of a Web-Based Enrollment System for
Bacoor National High School – Main Campus. Capstone Project. Bachelor of
Science in Information Technology. Cavite State University, Bacoor City, Cavite.
January 2025. Adviser: Ms. Rachel O. Rodriguez.
The study focused on designing and developing a web-based Enrollment
System for Bacoor National High School – Main Campus was developed to enhance
accessibility, efficiency, and ease of use in enrollment processes for students,
instructors, and administrators. It addresses the challenges of manual procedures by
offering an automated and user-friendly digital solution.
The system was developed using the Modified Waterfall Model with six phases:
Requirement Gathering to identify user needs, Design Strategy to plan the system’s
architecture and interface, Coding using HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap 5, JavaScript, SQL,
PHP 7, and MySQL 8.0, testing through functional and user acceptance tests,
Deployment for live use, and Maintenance for updates and support.
The system was evaluated based on the Software Quality ISO 25010 standards
by 139 evaluators, comprising 99 students, 30 teachers, and 10 IT professionals. The
evaluation yielded an overall General Weighted Mean of 3.68, indicating a "Very Good"
level of performance in terms of usability. Specific ratings included 3.59 for Functional
Suitability, 3.70 for Performance Efficiency, and 3.68 for Usability, all of which were
rated as "Very Good." These results demonstrate that the system meets user
expectations in terms of functionality, efficiency, and user experience.
To enhance the system, a mobile app is recommended for convenient access
to enrollment updates, payments, and announcements. Additionally, AI-powered
analytics can provide insights on trends, resource needs, and dropout risks for better
decision-making. Overall, the positive feedback from users highlights the system's
success in achieving its objectives and its potential as a model for similar
implementations in other educational institutions.

Description
This capstone project focused on the design and development of a web-based enrollment system for Bacoor National High School – Main Campus to improve accessibility, efficiency, and accuracy in the school’s enrollment processes. The system aimed to replace manual procedures with a digital, user-friendly solution that serves students, teachers, and administrators. Developed using the Modified Waterfall Model, the project followed six phases: requirement gathering, design strategy, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance. Technologies used included HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap 5, JavaScript, PHP 7, SQL, and MySQL 8.0.
The system was evaluated by 139 respondents, including students, teachers, and IT professionals, based on ISO 25010 software quality standards. Results showed an overall rating of 3.68 (“Very Good”), demonstrating strong functionality, performance efficiency, and usability. Recommendations included adding a mobile app for easier access and AI-driven analytics for data insights. The project successfully enhanced the school’s enrollment process and serves as a model for future digital systems in education.
