MENDOZA, ROSEMARIE L., OLMILLO, REYVEN KRENZ, TORREDA, SIEGFHRED N., AND UY, KARMELZARRIN R. The Effects of Aesthetic Design
Towards Customer Satisfaction on Selected Coffee Shops Around Imus, Cavite. Undergraduate Research. Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management. Cavite
State University – Bacoor City Campus, City of Bacoor, Cavite. January 2025. Adviser: Cecille Tuliao. This study, "Effects of Aesthetic Design Towards Customer Satisfaction on Selected
Coffee Shops Around Imus, Cavite," investigates the role of aesthetic design
elements in shaping customer satisfaction, with a focus on college students as a key
demographic. The study aims to highlight design principles such as balance, color, decoration, movement, patterns, shape, and space, exploring their impact on comfort, pleasure, and excitement—factors that are crucial to the overall customer experience. This study used a quantitative descriptive-correlational approach to survey 35
students from the College of Hospitality and Tourism Management at Imus Institute
of Science and Technology. The survey examined their perceptions of aesthetic
elements in coffee shops around Imus, Cavite, focusing on factors like balance, color, decoration, and space. Statistical tools revealed that well-integrated designs,
including symmetry, appealing color palettes, and thoughtful layouts, significantly
enhance customer satisfaction, providing comfort, excitement, and a sense of
belonging. The findings highlight how strategic aesthetic design fosters customer
engagement and loyalty, transforming coffee shops into social, productive, and
cultural hubs. By reflecting modern trends or cultural narratives, coffee shop owners
can align with evolving consumer expectations and the growing coffee culture in the
Philippines, positioning their spaces as more than just beverage establishments.
