Abstract
ALEXANDER NIKKO H. TENEPERE. Client-centered Internet Café System. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor Science in Computer Science, Cavite State University, City of Bacoor. April 2014. Adviser Steffanie D. Maglasang.

A Client-centered Internet Café System focuses on the client interface of the system. It provides intuitive solution that greatly improves user experience of customers and also ease of use for either touch screen or with the mouse and keyboard.

The system included features such as Automated Login and Time Extension, which allows customer to pick a time scheme and later be approved by administrator. Product Orders, which allows users to order a product depending on the offerings of the system administrator. Messaging Chat, allowing users to communicate with the server using the client computer. User Registration, which permits users to keep track of his records and login sessions when a user decides to register. And lastly, User Rewards, an optional feature that allows users to gain reward points depending on the time spent.

Cavite State University Software Development Methodology was utilized to allow the construction of a quality system using only the fewest resources possible. The methodology consisted of seven phases which include the Analyzing or Planning phase, Breakdown Priority Project phase, Design Module phase, Code Test phase, Integration of Sub Procedure and Testing phase, Integration Existing System phase, and Test or Implementation phase.

The system was constructed using various software development tools which are Microsoft Visual Studio 2012 with .Net Framework 4.5 the interface design and coding, SQL Server Compact Edition 4.0 for database handling and Adobe Photoshop CS6 for graphical elements of the system.

The system was evaluated by 136 respondents consisting of 100 internet café clients, 30 internet café administrators and the six computer instructors of Cavite State University Bacoor Campus, using the ISO 9126 standardized set of criteria which are are the measurement of the system's functionality, suitability, reliability, compatibility, maintainability and probability. The system received an overall score interpretation of Excellent.

The system still has more room for improvement. To enhance the system, the proponent recommends that the system should make use of the Windows Presentation Foundation rather than Windows 8 Mode XAML Interface may be utilized for better Windows 8 user experience. The system should be strictly integrated to the operating system by implementing its own Windows service, rather than relying on a monitoring process. Lastly, to achieve maximum security, the client module should also provide a custom Explorer interface foundation rather than running atop Windows Explorer and restricting its behavior.
