School of St. Mark: Online Job Application of Caregivers. Undergraduate Thesis.

The study was conducted to develop an online job application for caregivers that
aimed to provide a fast and accurate selection of qualified applicants and also to accurately
manage individual reports. Having this system computerized would also lessen paper
works done by the employee.
The fourth Generation Technique was applied in the development of the system
which includes the Requirements Phase, Design Phase, Implementation Phase, and Testing phase.
The system was tested and evaluated through evaluation forms with 60 participants composed of
applicants, CSSM Staff, and IT/CS professors and professionals.
The system was evaluated using WCAG 2.0, based on the given criteria:
Functionality, Reliability, Usability, Efficiency, Maintainability, and Portability.
The system was developed through the use of different tools: PHP 4.3.11 as the
programming language, MySQL 5.6.24 as the database technology for storage and
retrieval of data, Sublime Text3 for code editing, Pinegrow Web Editor for designing the
website, Adobe Photoshop CS3 for the editing pictures, and Microsoft Office Word 2016
for the documentation.
Through slovin’s formula, respondents broke down as follows: Applicants,
IT/CS professor and instructor, and CSSM Staff. Furthermore, evaluated the system with
the use of WCAG 2.0 as evaluation criteria.
The final weighted mean for all evaluation was 4.59 which interpreted as
“Excellent”. It shows that the Cavite School of St. Mark Online Job Application of
Caregivers was adequate for the need of the user.
