Abstract
The study was conducted to describe the marketing strategies of auto supply in Bacoor, Cavite. Specifically, the study aimed to describe the socio-economic characteristics of auto supply owners, determine the marketing strategies of auto supply owners, determine the business profile of the auto supply and problems encountered of auto supply owners in marketing their products.
The study was conducted in 11 towns of Bacoor namely: Real I, Habay I, Habay II, Panapaan, Molino 2, Molino 3, Molino 5, Queens Row A, B, S, San Nicolas 2, San Nicolas 3. A total of 36 auto supply shops compromised the sample. Data were collected through personal interviews with the aid of survey questionnaire.
The average of auto supply owners range from 36 to 45 years old. Majority of the respondents are male. Most of them are married. Most of them are high school graduate with an initial capital investment of P39,722. Most of them formed their business as sole proprietors and sourced their capital from their own funds.
Most of the auto supplies get their materials direct from the factory and most of them rent their space. Most of the auto supplies engaged in the business for one to five years. Most of them are open to 8 to 10 hours and their reason in investing the business is to have stable business to sustain their daily needs.
The respondents sell 16 to 20 pieces per day. Most of them offer different kinds of products. Majority of auto supply based their products in fixed mark-up and they accept payment in cash.
Some of the auto supply offer free labor and they advertise products through buy and sell and they locate their business on sales or display outlet. Most of the auto supply owners encountered problems like factory defect, damage and return of products, minimum number of customer and delay in delivering of products.
