Abstract
The study mainly focused on the relationship between the facets of mindfulness and test anxiety of students taking board courses and what intervention program can be proposed based on the findings. The study also showed the level of test anxiety of students taking board courses and their state of mindfulness as measured by five facets of mindfulness in terms of: observation, description, aware actions, non-judgmental inner cretic, and non-reactivity.
Two questionnaires were utilized in this study namely the Test Anxiety Questionnaire (TAQ) and Five Facets of Mindfulness (FFMQ) to 324 respondents in Cavite State University - Bacoor City Campus. The findings revealed that the participants had a moderate level of test anxiety with 75.93 percent. The study also showed also showed that most of the participants fall under the moderate level in all facets of mindfulness; observation with 50 percent, description at 65.12 percent, aware actions at 49.07 percent, and non-judgmental inner cretic with 44.44 percent, lastly, non-reactivity with 54.01 percent.
The study also proved that there is a significant relationship between test anxiety and overall facets of mindfulness of students taking board courses. The result indicates a connection between an individual's test anxiety and their capacity to remain mindful in stressful settings, especially when taking examinations.
Therefore, the study can be used in an intervention program that can reduce test anxiety. Moreover, to give further information future researchers should include more participants since the study is limited only to the students taking board courses. They should consider increasing the number of participants to all students for a wide comparison of the results of the study.
