Abstract
Manufacturing is the process of converting raw resources, such as wood, ore,
and food, into finished things, such as processed foods, furniture, and metal products.
Even when it appears that manufacturing companies are doing well, they still need to
change with the times and commit to sustainability. Furthermore, there is significant
pressure on the manufacturing sector as a result of the world's rapid population growth,
which has increased demand for consumer goods and led to the formation of new
businesses and the introduction of more manufactured items to the market (Kenton,
2021).
Green recruiting has been defined as a paperless procedure with little
environmental impact by Mwita (2019). Similar to this, the study by Khan and Muktar
(2020) claimed that possible candidates in green recruitment are hired via email and
video-based interviews, minimizing any negative environmental effects associated with
travel.
Nine emergent outcomes were discovered under the respondents' view of
green recruitment practices. The results included Paper-free/Paperless, Environment-
Friendly, Online Process, Implementation, Unaware, Sustainable, Minimal Impact,

Cost-Saving and Unidentified. There were seven emergent findings on the methods
that businesses utilized for hiring new employees. The results included Online
Recruitment, Recruitment Agency, Online Platforms, Online Interview, Email and
Paperless.
On the question “how the manufacturing firms address environmental issues”,
there were four emergent environmental issues that the manufacturing firm
experienced, namely Climate Change, Environmental Degradation, Waste,
Unidentified. Also, six emergent from the respondents' ways on how they addressed
these environmental issues; Training and Seminars, Pollution Control , Proper
Disposal, Improved Place, Preparation, Safety Protocols. Five emergent for the
manufacturing firm’s impact to the environment; Waste, Chemicals, Electricity,
Pollution, Unidentified. Lastly, two emergent on how green recruitment practice would
help address the firm's effect on environmental issues; Cost-Saving Measure and
Convenient.
The researchers recommended that a thorough and comprehensive study be
carried out on a nationwide scale. To start and advance the shift to green recruitment
methods, this assessment may be utilized as a roadmap and a wake-up call. It is
important to publish and make widely available the results of a thorough national study.
