Abstract
The Online Reservation management system for Circle Island Resort was
developed to provide an online reservation system for Circle Island Resort Bacoor
Cavite. The research will aid students in their learning by providing an alternative
method of getting knowledge.
The researchers developed the system using the Fourth Generation
Technique (4GT) as a technique. 4GT consists of the following phases:
Requirements Gathering, Design Strategy, Implementation, and Testing.
The web-based Learning Management System was developed under XAMPP,
wherein Apache will be used as theserver,MySQLforthedatabaseandPHPasthe
scripting language.
The system was evaluated based on software criteria of ISO 25010 with the
given criteria: Functional Suitability, Performance Efficiency, Compatibility, Usability,
Reliability, Security, Maintainability and Portability. Evaluators were composed of IT
Professionals/Instructors, customer of Circle Island Resort, as wellastheStaffswho
are working in Circle Island Resort. The system passed all the given criteria in the
evaluation and has met all the aimed features and functionality as well as the
requirements and objectives.
Generally the system evaluation is excellent in terms of being understandable
with composite mean of 4.90; Operable with weighted mean of 4.83; and Perceivable
and Robust with composite mean of 4.78. Overall, the system is excellent having a
grand mean of 4.83.
During the evaluation of the system, IT professional recommended the mobile
reservation app for the Resort, add Email Notification and Enhance the user interface
and user experience, and make it more entertaining.
