Abstract
The study was conducted from September 2022 to November 2022 in the City of
Dasmariñas Cavite. This was conveyed to understand the current applications and future
opportunities of Artificial Intelligence in Human Resource functions. This study was designed
to describe the types of AI-based technologies that Premier Creative Packaging
Incorporation (PCPI) applied in their traditional recruitment process, specify which
recruitment stages were supported by AI-based technology in the PCPI recruitment process,
determine how PCPI address the integration of AI into their recruitment process, and
analyze the impact of AI-based technologies on PCPI’s traditional recruitment process.
The researchers utilized the qualitative descriptive research design. Through the use
of semi-structured interview guide with open-ended questions given to the five (5)
respondents of Premier Creative Packaging Incorporation (PCPI) in Dasmariñas City,
Cavite, and who were purposely selected based on who met the criteria required for the
study. Since the methodological approach of this research was qualitative, the researchers
used non-statistical method which is the Coding and Thematic Analysis that were conducted
focused on the identification, analysis, and interpretation in the process of selecting codes
and constructing themes. Also, the respondents gave full permission to use their data, but
the researchers made sure to observe the Data Privacy Act (R.A. No. 10173).
Results showed that the application of artificial intelligence in human resource
management had an impact on the traditional recruitment process of PCPI . Based on the
data gathered, majority of the respondents said that the application of AI in HR
management has been helpful to them as traditional recruitment in Premier Creative
Packaging Incorporation (PCPI) became more accessible, faster, assistive in hiring, and
helps transmit information.
Therefore, the researchers conclude that AI has a positive impact on the hiring cycle,
bringing about an overall improvement in the experience of both hiring managerial positions
and job applicants in the recruitment process.
The researchers recommend that HR management prioritize the integration of an
Applicant Tracking System (ATS) in their hiring stages. It will help them create and post job
openings on various job boards and websites. ATS is a software application system
equipped with resume parsing capabilities that automatically extract relevant information
from resumes or CVs, such as contact details, work experience, skills, and education. In this
way, HR practitioners will be informed on how to centralize all incoming applications,
organize candidate data, and simplify the process of reviewing and screening candidate
profiles. Utilizing ATS can eliminate manual labor, enabling them to hire more quickly and
increase work speed and productivity. Their recruitment process will improve and become
more effective and efficient.
Lastly, further research is needed to identify and understand the use of Artificial
Intelligence in traditional recruiting processes. The qualitative research is insufficient to retort
the impact of AI-based technologies on the hiring process of manufacturing company.

Description
This undergraduate thesis explores how artificial intelligence (AI) is applied in the human resource management practices of Premier Creative Packaging Incorporation (PCPI), specifically focusing on its impact on the company’s traditional recruitment process. Conducted from September to November 2022 in Dasmariñas, Cavite, the study employed a qualitative descriptive design using semi-structured interviews with five purposively selected respondents from PCPI. Through coding and thematic analysis, the research revealed that AI technologies positively influence recruitment by making processes faster, more efficient, and more organized. The study recommends integrating Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) to further streamline HR functions and enhance productivity. It also calls for further research to deepen understanding of AI's role in traditional hiring within manufacturing firms.
