Abstract
This study aims to determine the experiences of selected teenagers in Barangay Salawag, Dasmariñas, Cavite in terms of social media violence. It also seeks to identify the factors resulting in social media violence, and lastly, to determine the coping mechanisms adopted by selected teenagers in dealing with social media violence. This study utilizes a Transcendental Phenomenological Research Design. The seven participants were selected through purposive sampling techniques and predefined criteria set by the researcher. Each participant underwent an in-depth interview.

In determining the experiences of selected teenagers in terms of social media violence and upon learning the stories of each respondent, two themes emerged. The first theme was cyberbullying, with a subtheme of body shaming, and the second theme was cyberstalking, which was mostly experienced by teenagers in terms of social media violence.

Furthermore, in identifying the factors resulting in social media violence, one theme—social influence—emerged, with subthemes of conformity and vulnerability that served as factors contributing to the participants' experiences of social media violence.

Lastly, in determining the coping mechanisms adopted by selected teenagers in dealing with social media violence, three themes emerged. The first theme was social support, with a subtheme of guidance; the second theme was avoidance; and the third theme was ignoring. These served as their strategies in coping with and overcoming the challenges brought by social media violence.

Open communication and guidance from parents are recommended to reduce the number of victims of social media violence. Seminars and adequate education are also recommended to raise awareness about the effects of social media violence on individuals’ lives.
