DELA CRUZ PRINCESS KYLA E. and SILOT RIZZA MAE. ABaKaDa:
Philippine Language Learning with Trivia Application. Undergraduate Thesis.
Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. Cavite State University - Bacoor City
Campus, City of Bacoor, Cavite. April 2018. Adviser: Mr. Joshua A. Guevarra.
The study was conducted to develop an application that would promote the major
dialect of the Philippines and also to have knowledge about it. The system was developed
to provide basic words and common words of six major dialects of the Philippines. The
system has audio attached on every single category in order to the user to know how to
pronounce the words of the dialects properly. In addition, those voices that could be
heard on the system were recorded by the legitimate people who enunciate the said
dialects.
The system has four modules: Category Module, Trivia Module, Entertainment
Module and Report Module.
Waterfall Model was used as the development methodology of the software. It
was user-friendly, user-driven, and user-based. It composed of the following processes:
Analysis, Design, Implementation, Testing, Deploymen and Maintenance.
The system was developed through the use of different tools: Android Studio
v2.3.3and SQLite v3.0.0 for database, Adobe Photoshop CS6 for editing of images, Icon
Archive for the icons, Windows 7 Starter with 64-bit Operating System, Intel® Core TM
i5 CPU M430 @ 2.27GHz for the processor, 4GB of RAM and Microsoft Office 2010 for
the documentation of the study.
