Abstract
Indeed, the advent of e-commerce has revolutionized the way people
exchanged and traded goods. However, the fast-paced digital world has introduced
new methods and platforms for conducting transactions. In the Philippines, two major
e-commerce platforms, Lazada and Shopee, had emerged. In this study, the
researcher compared how the two platforms could surge satisfaction to the customer
with exceptional high-grade website and service quality.

To conduct this study, a quantitative approach was employed. Participants of the e-commerce platforms were selected for evaluation through necessary data and survey questionnaires. This study adopted a descriptive as well as correlational research approach in which the relationship between two variables was examined without the researcher controlling either of them. The researcher opted to use purposive sampling to obtain a sample that specifically met the criteria or characteristics required for the research objective. It may not have been representative of the larger population, as the selection process was subjective and relied heavily on the researcher's judgment. Therefore, the generalizability of the findings may have
been limited.

The highest level of e-service quality that sellers perceived from Shopee in terms of information quality stated that the information provided on the site was accurate, well organized, and provided at the appropriate level of detail. Furthermore, there appeared to be a significant difference in the perceived e-service quality based on the age of buyers. Middle-aged consumers tended to have a higher level of trust when it came to online shopping. It could be determined from these statements that there were several factors that contributed to the perceived e-service quality and customer experience of Lazada and Shopee. Age played a significant role, with older individuals tending to have higher levels of trust and appreciation for the timesaving and security benefits of online shopping. Overall, these insights shed light on the demographics, behaviors, and dynamics within the online platform industry, enabling both buyers and sellers to better understand and navigate this evolving landscape.

To emphasize the importance of continuous adaptation and evolution of online platforms to meet the evolving needs and preferences of customers, the researcher suggests enhancing the engagement and knowledge of online shopping platforms for both older and younger individuals. The researcher also recommends implementing strategies such as enhanced user interfaces, personalized recommendations, and user-friendly tutorials or guides. Additionally, the researcher believes that Lazada, and other e-commerce platforms, should consider implementing a points system that rewards customers for their loyalty and engagement.
