Abstract
An Inventory Management System with Barcode Support was developed to
provide Alleina’s Beautique_G21 to real-time inventory management system to
adequate the business and prevent human errors more often with a simple process
more effectively.
To construct the system, the researchers employed a process known as the
Iterative Waterfall Model. Requirements gathering, design strategy, implementation,
and testing are all parts of the Iterative Waterfall process.
XAMPP was used to construct the Inventory Management System with
Barcode Support, which uses Apache as the server, MySQL as the database, and
PHP as the scripting language. Adobe Photoshop CS6 was also utilized as additional
application software for graphics and design.
Based on the specified criteria—perceivable, operable, understandable, and
robust—the system was assessed. Online Seller, Admin and IT professionals, served
as the evaluators. The system successfully satisfied all of the assessment's goals and
objectives, as well as all of the criteria that were set out in the evaluation.
Overall, the system is evaluated as excellent in terms of understandable with
composite mean of 4.64; operable with composite mean of 4.58; perceivable with
weighted mean of 4.47; and robust with composite mean of 4.43. Overall, the system
is excellent with a grand mean of 4.53.
The system should be user friendly in all devices especially in portable and
mobile devices and with graphical representation of data when generating reports can
help users to understand the data more and the system should have an option wherein
the client can back up data in a cloud storage for additional security features.
