The study was conducted to determine the level of acceptability of malunggay
siomai as perceived by selected third year BSHM students in Cavite state University -
Bacoor campus. Specially, this study was designed to find an alternative food to eat
and intake nutrients for people who has eating the street food will not only be
concerned with the taste but also to every eater health. And to determine the level of
acceptability of malunggay siomai as perceived by selected third year BSHM students
of Cavite State University Bacoor Campus.
To determine the total number of respondents, authors used the slovin's
formula and came up with the frequency of 178 respondents, where female is 152 and
male is 26. The results from the survey are the characteristics with the highest general
weight mean in the taste with 3.51 percent and has a verbal interpretation of “highly
acceptable”. Second is the texture with 3.46 percent general weight mean and
interpreted as a “highly acceptable”. Third is the aroma with 3.49 percent general
weight mean and interpreted as “highly acceptable”. Last is the appearance with a
general weight mean of 3.52 percent and verbally interpreted as “highly acceptable”
Of malunggay siomai 3.63 is general weight mean is highly acceptable in verbally
interpreted.
