Abstract
The purpose of this project is to develop a computerized and mobilized food
ordering system for BUNappetite to make it easier for the management to take in all
the orders of the customers online, because they only get orders from their social
media accounts, they could not accommodate all the orders all at once. The
accustomed system that is being used by BUNappetite is the manual ordering system.
It implied that all work and processes are documented manually and it also entailed
significant amount of paperwork that is not both efficient and effective. The existing
system lacks the capability to provide a platform for iOS users; the system does not
have the feature in paying the order using GCash payment method for users. Also,
the researchers are not required to provide an inventory module, since the system
only focuses on ordering online.
The Rapid Application Development methodology approach has been selected
for this system. The front and back end of the system will be developed using Visual
Studio Code software: Firebase will be used as the database. Different testing
techniques, including test cases, unit testing, integration testing, and system
checklists, were used to evaluate the system. The system was evaluated by 10 IT
professionals, 100 customers, and 10 employees. The criteria used in evaluating the
system is perceivability, operability, understandability, robustness, and
maintainability. Majority of the response of the participants were satisfied to the system
having an interpretation of “Excellent” with a numerical value of 4.69. The system
allowed BUNappetite employees to accommodate and handle all orders more quickly
while providing the client's information.
The findings helped the researchers to identify the problems that discovered in
the management system. The system allowed BUNappetite to accommodate and
handle all orders more quickly. It was advantageous for the clients, the employees,
and the owners.

Description
This undergraduate thesis presents the development of a mobile-based food ordering system for BUNappetite, a local food business. The system aims to address the limitations of the business’s current manual and social media-based ordering process, which struggles to handle multiple customer orders efficiently. The project, developed using Visual Studio Code and Firebase, follows the Rapid Application Development (RAD) methodology. It excludes inventory functions and focuses solely on online ordering. Evaluation of the system by IT professionals, customers, and staff yielded an "Excellent" rating with a weighted mean of 4.69. Key strengths noted include enhanced order management, user satisfaction, and improved efficiency for both staff and customers. Recommendations include extending platform compatibility and integrating payment features like GCash.
