This study is focused on determining the effectiveness of the health and sanitation committee of Brgy. Elias Aldana, Las Piñas City in the performance of their duties and responsibilities. It further aims to identify the problems they encountered in the performance of their duties and responsibilities and find possible solutions. Also, to determine the significance difference on the perception of the two groups of respondents. Moreover, to determine whether the committee of health and sanitation's programs and activities need to be improved. It may develop a new way to carry out the health and sanitation committee's obligations. The researcher selected 85 residents of Brgy. Elias Aldana, Las Piñas City and the 14 members of the committee of health and sanitation. The overall total of 99 residents of Brgy. Elias Aldana, Las Piñas City participated in the survey. The study revealed that the committee of health and sanitation of Brgy. Elias Aldana are effective in the performance of their duties and responsibilities. Particularly, these activities significantly improve the effectiveness of the committee of health and sanitation. However, the study revealed that the committee of health and sanitation of Brgy. Elias Aldana is facing problems in its activities. The committee are facing problems because of the lack of awareness about the practice of the 3R’s (reduce, reuse, and recycle) of waste management, lack of supply of free medicines for the residents, and lack of awareness about economic benefits of recycling garbage in the Brgy. of Elias Aldana, Las Pinas City.
