Abstract
People need to work to sustain their daily needs in life. However, there would be times that tend to forget to balance their work and personal life. Work-life balance is about how an employee maintains the balance and distribution between their professional and personal obligations. When someone has a good work-life balance, they can distribute their time so that they won't overwork and enjoy their time. This paper examines the determinants affecting the work-life balance of male and female Cavite State University Bacoor City Campus employees. It aims to determine if the four determinants such as working environment, work stress, financial encouragement, and job autonomy affect the work-life balance of male and female employees of Cavite State University Bacoor City Campus and if the work-life balance of the employee
changes depending on their age, sex, and civil status. A survey questionnaire was distributed to the employees wherein 32 female and 37 male employees participated. The study employed a casual-comparative research design.
The study revealed that the working environment always affects the employees, financial encouragement sometimes affects the employees. In contrast, work stress and job autonomy often affect the employees in maintaining work-life balance. It was also found out that employees' work-life balance does not change depending on their age, sex, and civil status. It is recommended to continue maintaining a good working environment since it was found out that it always affects the employees in maintaining a work-life balance. And enjoy their personal time and doing some activities for a better work-life balance of the male and female employees
