This phenomenological study navigates the factors influencing the performance of barangay officials in Barangay Molino IV, Bacoor City, Cavite. Through in-depth interviews with seven (7) elected officials and three (3) constituents, the research explores the impact of training, education, city support, stress, limitations in meeting community needs, and physical health in their performance. The study reveals that while training, education, and city support are crucial factors for effective performance, barangay officials face challenges like stress, unmet needs, and health issues. The study also identifies coping mechanisms employed by officials, including participating in extracurricular activities, seeking support from colleagues and superiors, and managing staff absences. The research concludes with recommendations for improving barangay performance, including the implementation of stress management program, enhancing communication and feedback mechanisms, and establishing a system for handling urgent matters during official absences. This study contributes to a deeper understanding of barangay governance and provides valuable insights for improving the performance of barangay officials in Barangay Molino IV, ultimately contributing to the betterment of the community.
