Sexual harassment is an act or a series of acts involving any unwelcome sexual advance, request or demand for a sexual favor, or other verbal or physical behavior of a sexual nature, committed by a government employee or official in a work-related, training or education-related government.
The development of Android Application on Anti-Sexual Harassment Awareness Raise and Prevention would be able to increase the awareness of people about Sexual Harassment. The application could also help user to know how to prevent, learn more about sexual harassments and the important discussion about sexual harassment and the idea how to standup and share the user experience. The system has three modules: Account Module; Information Module and the Record Module with three level of access such as the Admin, Users and the Guest.
The Iterative Waterfall Model was the methodology used for the development of the system. It was composed of five phases: Requirements, Design, Implementation, Verification, and Maintenance. The system was developed through the use of different tools: PHP version 4.1 as the programming language and MySQL Version 4.6.6 as database.
The system was evaluated using ISO 9126, based on the given criteria: Functionality, Reliability, Usability, Efficiency, Maintainability and Portability.
Evaluation was composed of student of CvSU Bacoor Campus, Department of Computer Studies Instructor of CvSU Bacoor Cavite and IT Professionals. The overall rating of the system is 4.31 which interpreted as "Excellent". All the given criteria of the evaluation and targeted features and functionality of the system as well as the requirements and objectives were met. Therefore the study would be a great tool in raising awareness about sexual harassment.
